Skyhook Red is more than a megastructure—it’s Mars’ springboard to the galaxy. By mastering Phobos, it becomes the ultimate spaceport, a strategic nexus for interstellar travel.
Our concept art captures its essence: the Tidal Ring standing resolute, lanes alive with ships, and the tether’s cables gleaming like veins of light against a terraformed world. This is humanity’s triumph, a bold fusion of science and spectacle that ignites the imagination.

The Tidal Ring, a futuristic marvel orbiting Mars, features a central track housing the Phobos Tether Base and twin side tracks for Freight Carriers. Each T-shaped Vertebra supports two Cable-Tweaking Systems managing Tethered Cables anchored to Mars. Upward Thrusters along the spine counter the cables’ pull.
The Vertebrae host two upper Traffic Lanes for freighters and interstellar ships, plus six lower lanes for mixed vessels, creating a bustling lifeline against the Martian horizon.

The Phobos Tether is the beating heart of this colossus. Four Core Cables, shimmering with futuristic resilience, stretch from the Tether Base—a dynamic hub circling the Tidal Ring every 7 hours and 45 minutes.
Its expandable heads flex and brake, taming Phobos’ fall with surgical precision, while massive cylinders cradle the cables with unyielding strength. Along these cables, Lift Tracks guide the ascent of Space Lifts—the vital links between Mars and the void beyond.

The Space Lifts are a vision unto themselves. Hanger gates unfurl like petals of steel, revealing vast interiors primed for cargo and exploration. Its surfacing is coated with a responsive nanopaint layer akin to an e-ink screen. In the shadows, the paint lights up and adapts to the lighting for efficient info showcase.
Thrusters blaze at their tops and bases, driving them along the tether’s tracks with a dancer’s grace and a titan’s might. Their back frames lock into the system, a perfect marriage of design and purpose.
